I just received an email from a faithful reader Marilyn - from Atlanta, who recently purchased the above sofa from Montauk Sofa. Unfortunately the sofa does not fit in Marilyn's home and because of Montauk's policy she cannot return it for credit. Does anyone know of a place or can suggest an online site where Marilyn can post her sofa without taking a huge loss from it? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!

Montauk Sofa

Montauk Sofa delivered the wrong sofa to me! To top it all off, they damaged the walls in my house and refused to take responsibility for it!! Terrible customer servcie. I will NEVER buy anything from them again and am taking them to small claim's court!
Don't buy from Montauk Sofa!
Montauk Soho's customer service, or lack of customer service, cost me over $500 in charges that could have been avoided had they explained the delivery options. While very quick to charge one's credit card, they are incredibly slow at refunding due credits (i am still waiting after 3mos, i've given up). sofa was missing two pillows, which took weeks to be shipped. product is undeniably great. but if you do choose them, investigate all your delivery options, particularly if you need de/reconstruction of the sofa to get it into your apt.
